The Construction Project Management Digital Badge Program provides a comprehensive introduction to the core knowledge and practical skills required to successfully manage construction projects. Through six focused modules, participants gain exposure to construction materials and methods, printreading, estimating, scheduling, communication, and project management fundamentals.

 

The program blends video instruction, quizzes, and hands-on practice using real-world tools and scenarios. Participants develop a working understanding of how construction projects are planned, documented, coordinated, and delivered, from early design concepts through project execution. Emphasis is placed on practical application, industry terminology, and best practices used across the construction industry.

 

 

Learning Goals / Objectives:

• Understand fundamental construction terminology, materials, and building systems

• Identify common structural systems, exterior finishes, and basic MEP components

• Interpret construction drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and schedules

• Perform basic quantity take-offs and apply common estimating methods

• Develop and interpret construction schedules, including logic, float, and milestones

• Apply foundational project management concepts, delivery methods, and contract components

• Communicate effectively using standard construction documentation and jobsite practices

• Recognize how sustainability, LEED principles, and LEAN construction influence

Course Materials and Equipment

• To successfully complete this course, you are expected to already have a basic level of computer skills.

• A computer or laptop with a reliable Wi-Fi connection will be required to complete this course.

• Participation: Active engagement and completion of all quizzes are mandatory.
